MILNER GARDEN WOODLAND
AND AFTERNOON TEA

TOUR DESCRIPTION: A seaside garden set in natural
coastal Douglas Fir Woodland at Qualicum Beach, one-hour
north east of Nanaimo. On route to the gardens we will
be travelling through small seaside communities of
Parksville and Qualicum Beach, we will stop at Qualicum
beach for a photo opportunity, a beautiful beach with
amazing views over the Strait of Gorgia and the Coastal
Mt. Range. At the gardens your senses are in for a
treat. This setting is like no other, visited by the
Queen Elizabeth, Prince Phillip, Prince Charles and
Princess Diana, the 60 acres of Woodland and 10 Acres
of garden surrounding a Heritage House (Milner House)
situated atop and Oceanside bluff over looking the
St. of Gorgia, all this was the dream of one woman
Veronica Milner. Once arriving at the venue a Milner
guide will greet our group and take you on an hour
tour of the woodland and garden, you will see beautiful
gardens with rhododendrons, perennials and annuals.
The wood land consists of native fauna, Coastal Douglas
fir, salal and western sword fern after the tour enjoy
an afternoon tea in the Milner house consisting of
freshly baked scones, jams and Devon cream! YUM! There
will also be some free time allotted to take a stroll
trough the garden or woodland or even just to sit on
the patio and enjoy the breathtaking view, then we
will depart for a relaxing ride home.
